Striving for Justice and Freedom in Pakistan

The Heartbreaking Loss of 9-Year-Old Ammar Farooq

Justice For Ammar Farooq

In a deeply distressing turn of events, 9-year-old Ammar Farooq has tragically lost his life after being denied crucial medical treatment at a hospital. What compounds the tragedy is the reason behind this denial: Ammar’s father, Mian Abad Farooq, is a member of PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) and a staunch supporter of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Mian Abad Farooq's ordeal involved being unjustly incarcerated for 135 days, solely because of his political affiliation and his unwavering support for PTI. This harrowing period of imprisonment left a lasting mark on young Ammar, as their family home was subjected to frequent late-night assaults.

The heart-wrenching images and videos of Ammar before his tragic passing are etched in our memories, serving as a poignant reminder of the profound loss.

Ammar held onto the hope of his father's return, but those hopes were dashed when bail was denied, plunging the family into despair.

This heart-rending incident prompts us to scrutinize the judiciary's role in safeguarding the fundamental rights of citizens.

It starkly underscores the relentless and brutal state-led persecution of individuals associated with PTI—a disturbing trend that has often escaped media attention.

The untimely death of Ammar Farooq serves as a poignant reminder of the immense sacrifices made by individuals and their families who endure persecution due to their political beliefs. His story shall not fade into oblivion, and his suffering shall not be in vain.

It stands as an enduring testament to the unyielding and relentless struggle for justice and freedom in the heart of Pakistan

As we collectively mourn the loss of this innocent young soul, we offer our prayers for Ammar Farooq. Although he may no longer be with us in the physical realm, his memory will forever reside in our thoughts and hearts, inspiring our relentless quest for a Pakistan where justice and freedom are unwavering pillars of society.
